Responsibilities and Expectations: 

The Technical Trainer responsibility is to increase the technicians’ knowledge of the product, general and specific equipment, and repair procedures to reach the highest quality level of repairing activities. Moreover, they must provide the technicians attending the courses with a methodical approach to repair and problem solving as they approach their daily positions.

  • Provide training, guidance, and leadership for new training specialists.
  • Develop performance assessments and testing materials.
  • Manage trainees and communicate effectively with area management on trainee performance.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs to both internal and external stakeholders both in person and remotely.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of IPS systems and products.
  • Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, manuals, and online resources.
  • Assess training needs and customize programs to meet specific requirements.
  • Mentor other instructors in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to trainers.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance training programs.
  • Lead, plan and prioritize training projects, including all timely deliverables in a training project to include facilitating technical and non-technical training to employees, business partners, external customers, and other audiences.

  • Follow project methodology in the development of trainee and/or training performance assessments and testing materials.
  • Update and maintain the LMS with current training programs, schedules, and participant records.
  • Provide support to users experiencing difficulties with the LMS.
  • Collect feedback from training participants and trainers to assess the effectiveness of training. Compile and present reports on training attendance, feedback, and evaluations.
  • Analyze, identify, and develop training solutions using blended learning techniques and innovative technology/tools to meet business goals.
  • Gather data from quality audits and team development surveys and incorporates in training deliveries.
  • Evaluate various training trends, techniques, and/or programs. Performs other tasks as needed to support the training area to include but not limited to maintenance of training database, reports, assessments, etc.

  • Demonstrate skills in training material development and classroom presentations to large groups and a variety of audiences.
  • Understand Adult Learning Principles and appropriate learning development methodologies.
  • Strong MS Office Suite and Windows operating system knowledge
  • Digital content development experience would be favorable.


  • Technical degree/certification or bachelor’s degree or associate degree in human resources, organizational development, project management or education.
  • Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience
