Responsibilities and Expectations: 

As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic purchasing, managing the procurement process, and optimizing inventory levels for new and remanufactured products. Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and VBA will be essential to fulfill these responsibilities effectively.

 

  • Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans.
  • Assist in procurement for sales projects.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance using SQL for data extraction and PowerBI for visualization.
  • Collaborate with teams to forecast demand and align procurement strategies.
  • Utilize data analytics for inventory tracking and optimization, leveraging SQL for data queries and VBA for automation.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor inventory-related key performance indicators through PowerBI dashboards.
  • Provide actionable insights for improved inventory management using data analysis tools.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and regulations for innovation opportunities.
  • Efficiently order parts as per department instructions.
  • Maintain detailed procurement records using automated processes with VBA.
  • Ensure high service quality and timely delivery management.
  • Resolve purchasing issues and streamline supply chain processes with data-driven decision-making.

 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

 

  • High school diploma
  • Three years’ experience in manufacturing/services operational processes preferred
  • Vendor and purchasing experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work procedures and apply strong analytical problem-solving dynamics in a continuous improvement environment
  • Ability to perform math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions and percentages
  • Strong customer focus with professional communication
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Available to work overtime
