Responsibilities and Expectations: 

We are looking for a skilled Painter to join our team. The painter will be responsible for the taping, painting and polishing of electric motors to prepare motor for final shipment. Responsibilities may include:

  • Prepping of parts (taping, scuffing to make sure paint adheres to part).
  • Proper use, cleaning and maintenance of spray gun.
  • Knowledge of proper ratios to mix paint.
  • Maintain safety paint log.
  • Maintaining of filters for Volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
  • Properly trained with hoist and safe lifting practices.
  • Ensure paint and supporting materials are stocked.

 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • Must be clean shaven for respirator fit
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful.  High school diploma or equivalent course work in skilled crafts or trades training.
  • Must be a hands-on person capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to use mechanical tools, hand tools, electrical test equipment, measuring instruments, and be able to read blueprints.
