Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
The Edmonton Service Center is hiring a Shipper and Receiver who will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and shipping goods, managing repair orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with transportation services, and ensuring adherence to company quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include:
• Receive and inspect all incoming goods, ensuring no damage and order completeness.
• Ship orders and repair products to customers, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.
• Implement company quality standards and procedures for shipping and receiving.
• Notify customers about their order status.
• Correctly place stock in the warehouse.
• Arrange pickups with couriers and transportation services.
• Create work orders for incoming repair products, documenting their condition with photos if necessary.
• Tag repair products with work order numbers and attach all relevant paperwork.
• Ensure all products have a PO number on the waybill and the waybill number on the packing slip.
• Securely store products awaiting repair.
• Generate packing slips for repaired products and notify trucking companies for shipping.
• Ensure repaired products are properly packaged and secured on transportation vehicles, taking photos after loading.
• Mark courier paperwork with collect or COD to avoid unnecessary charges to the company.
• Report any issues to the purchasing agent, sales staff, or repair department head.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and yard.
• Assist with pickup and delivery as needed.
• Support other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
• Uphold a professional attitude in all interactions with vendors, customers, and service providers.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and quality regulations.
Qualifications and Competencies:
• High School Diploma
• 2-5 years of experience as a shipper/receiver
• Proficient in verbal and written communication in English
• Familiar with shipping safety regulations
• Computer literate
• Skilled in operating a forklift and company vehicles up to 1 ton
• Physically fit, capable of lifting to 50 lbs
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet frequent demanding deadlines
• Strong work ethic with excellent organizational and planning skills, and attention to detail
• Experience in an industrial environment and mechanically inclined
