Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

As an Insides Sales Representative with the Winnipeg Service Center, you will serve as the primary contact for our customers for their industrial electrical experience—from quote through delivery for their incoming power management needs right down to the motor or pump. Use your experience, talent, and ambition to provide sales support for electrical products & services for industrial applications.  Primary product lines include Motors and Adjustable Speed Drives (ASDs), Solid State Starters, and Electric Motor Control. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Communicate with customers and assist with deciding on electrical product requirements.
  • Research and communicate with IPS vendors on parts and part delivery.
  • Responsible for preparing designs, quotes, and support to the customer.
  • Work with Outside Technical Sales reps to address their customers’ needs.
  • Motor control or panel design to support the customer's applications.
  • Ensure proper procedures and standards are in place to conform to CSA, ISO, EASA, and IPS Standard of Work (SOW) requirements.
  • Assist in achieving financial targets set out by the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Responsible for preparation of quotes, purchasing products, invoicing, and unmatched customer experience (UCE).

 

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Technical background with electrical and/or mechanical products required.
  • C.E.T in electrical discipline is preferred. 
  • Software experience like AutoCAD and Microsoft products.
  • 3 or more years of customer service experience in an industrial environment or equivalent education preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with current and potential customers
  • Critical attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training
  • Flexible with hours, overtime, and some weekend work
  • CET or C. Tech and CTTAM membership is an asset.
