Under the authority of the Plant Manager, the Mechanical Assembler performs various tasks on transformers and other equipment.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Dismantle and reassemble transformer components to be reconditioned using appropriate tools such as wrenches, pneumatic tools, etc.;
- Add equipment to transformers;
- Use various lifting devices to perform the cuvage and decuvage (tanking and untanking);
- Occasionally participate in tests and enter results and/or progress of decuvage work into the computer system;
- Perform any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the business;
- Use electrical measuring devices
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in the manufacturing field;
- DEP in industrial mechanics, electricity, or other relevant fields are assets;
- Experience with pneumatic tools (e.g., impact gun);
- Knowledge of the imperial measurement system;
- Knowledge of electricity (an asset).
