Responsibilities & Expectations: 

The Manager of Commercial Operations for Hydro Services will be responsible for leading the equipment proposal effort for assigned opportunities while utilizing the managing controls to deliver on time, high-quality competitive proposals. This role will also entail the understanding of a customer’s requirements, managing the contract formation process, schedule, and third-party interfaces. You will also be required to interface with engineering, sales, supply chain, legal, and other teams to facilitate the creation of the final customer contract. As a Manager of Commercial Operations for IPS, you will demonstrate a genuine and effective commitment for providing an Unmatched Customer Experience.

  • Understand contractual commercial terms and work with customers, supplies, and subcontractors to ensure offers balance with both IPS’ and customer’s needs
  • Maintain all sales opportunities in CRM database with sales team
  • Receive, review, and understand customer RFQ’s for GTCC and hydrogen generation and storage projects
  • Ensure each proposal has a winning bid strategy
  • Maintain weekly coordination with sales organization and assume responsibility for transfer and dissemination of pertinent deal data among the required internal functions
  • Manage and maintain organized prior quote data for effective target pricing and quick turnaround times

 

 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • A minimum of 7 years related experience and/or training preferred
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to visit potential customers, internal meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office software or CRM is required
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Strong customer service focus, with a sense of urgency when dealing with issues and critical tasks
  • Effective and strong project leadership skills
