Responsibilities & Expectations: 

 

*The location for this position is flexible throughout Florida. There is relocation available for candidates living outside of FL and would like to relocate.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Power Generation Equipment Rental Manager to lead our power generation rental operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of power generation equipment, a proven track record in rental management, and exceptional leadership skills. This role requires expertise in sales, technical knowledge of power generation systems, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

 

Rental Operations Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of power generation equipment rental operations, including inventory management, logistics, and maintenance
  • Develop Operating and Budget plans to meet EBITDA goals
  • Ensure that rental equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and tested to meet safety standards and customer requirements
  • Coordinate with technical staff and vendors to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs, minimizing equipment downtime

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive rental revenue growth and expand the customer base
  • Identify market opportunities and industry trends to capitalize on emerging demands for power generation equipment
  • Cultivate relationships with key clients, contractors, and industry partners to generate leads and secure rental contracts

Technical Support and Customer Service:

  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers, assisting them in selecting the appropriate power generation equipment for their specific needs
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the rental process, from initial inquiries to equipment delivery, operation, and return
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and technical issues promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage and oversee rental agreements, contracts, and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, availability, rental transactions, and financial performance
  • Prepare reports on rental metrics, including revenue forecasts, utilization rates, and customer feedback, to inform decision-making and strategy development

 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proven experience in power generation equipment rental management or a similar role
  • Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving rental revenue targets
  • Technical expertise in power generation systems, including diesel generators, gas turbines, and associated equipment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in rental management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards for power generation equipment
  • Leadership abilities with experience in supervising and motivating teams
