Responsibilities & Expectations:

As a Communications & Design Specialist, you'll turn IPS's stories, announcements, and plans into polished, audience-ready pieces — graphics, edited video, and written content that people actually stop to read or watch. This is a hands-on, production-focused role: you'll own the craft and execution of internal communications and creative support, working with real independence once direction is set.

You'll bring a sharp editorial eye to everything you touch, using efficient tools to work quickly without losing IPS's voice or accuracy. You'll report to the Marketing Operations Manager, and you'll partner day-to-day with the Digital Content Manager and Creative Services Lead on execution.

Responsibilities & Expectations

Design & Visual Content

•     Own the design and production of graphics, one-pagers, flyers, and event materials for internal and PR use, from concept through final file.

•     Build and maintain visual templates for newsletters, announcements, and presentations that other teams can use consistently.

•     Apply and help enforce IPS's brand and visual guidelines across communications materials.

Video & Multimedia

•     Own end-to-end editing of video for internal communications and PR — auto-captioning, rough-cut assembly, transcript-based editing, and similar workflows.

•     Turn raw footage and interviews into short, polished pieces for employee features, events, or media use, making independent calls on pacing and structure.

•     Build and maintain an organized video and photo asset library for reuse across teams.

Communications Support

•     Own the drafting of internal announcements and newsletter content, and draft PR materials for review, using drafting tools to work efficiently.

•     Review and refine drafts for tone, accuracy, and brand voice before anything is shared.

•     Support PR and communications projects led by the Marketing Operations Manager with research, scheduling, and coordination.

•     Maintain and improve communication templates and toolkits used across teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

•     Partner with the Digital Content Manager and Creative Services Lead to keep visual and video content aligned with broader storytelling and marketing efforts.

•     Work with teams across the business on day-to-day design and communications requests.

Qualifications & Competencies

•     1–3 years of experience in design, communications, marketing, or a related field.

•     A sharp editorial eye — comfortable catching tone, accuracy, or brand issues in a draft. This matters more than raw years of experience.

•     Clear, professional writing skills for internal and PR-support content.

•     Working proficiency with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or Illustrator, with the ability to work independently once direction is set.

•     Practical experience with video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, or AI-assisted editors.

•     Comfort using modern tools — including some AI-assisted drafting or editing tools — with good judgment about when something needs a human touch.

•     Strong organizational skills and comfort juggling several small projects at once.
