Key Account Manager – Burlington Site
Responsibilities & Expectations
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships within the Burlington site’s assigned market. This position will be focused primarily on low- and medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, and related electrical distribution and power management solutions. The Key Account Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with existing customers, understand customer requirements, and leverage the capabilities of the Burlington site to deliver effective technical and commercial solutions.
Develop and maintain a targeted list of prospective and strategic customers in collaboration with the business development team and establish appropriate account and sales strategies.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, electrical contractors, OEMs, industrial facilities, utilities, and other relevant accounts.
Identify opportunities for the repair, refurbishment, service, testing, modification, and supply of low- and medium-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
Analyze and understand customer requirements, applications, specifications, and project needs to recommend appropriate solutions.
Advise customers on Burlington site capabilities, including available services, technical expertise, and capabilities related to switchgear and circuit breakers.
Coordinate with technical specialists, engineering, operations, and other internal resources to develop proposals and solutions for complex customer requirements and equipment modifications.
Present proposals, technical solutions, and commercial offerings to customers and effectively communicate the value of Burlington site capabilities.
Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling applicable products and services within the company’s portfolio, with primary emphasis on low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
Consult with appropriate management on issues involving pricing, specifications, warranties, service adaptations, scope, and other customer requirements.
Maintain a thorough understanding of competitors, market conditions, pricing, and competitive bid situations within the electrical distribution and power management market.
Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through customer visits, networking, prospecting, referrals, and other business-development activities.
Maintain regular customer contact through in-person visits, calls, correspondence, and follow-up activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer commitments are clearly communicated and effectively executed.
Track account Progress and hold regular reviews internally and with customers to drive growth and improved customer experience
