Responsibilities & Expectations:

Southland Electrical, also known as Southland Group, an IPS company, is a leader in power distribution and low voltage motor control. For over 30 years, we have been buying and selling new, new surplus, and reconditioned industrial electrical equipment. In early 2023, Southland was acquired by Integrated Power Services. We are seeking a Sales Production Coordinator to connect our sales team, shop floor, and Field Service technicians for E-House, Switchboard, and Motor Control Center (MCC) production. In this position, you will make sure orders are built accurately and maintain on time delivery. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized team member who communicates clearly and can handle changing priorities.

•      Review shop capacity across E-House, Switchboard, and MCC production, and advise Sales on available build slots before orders are committed.

•      Review sales tickets for accuracy and completeness, including customer specifications, drawings, bills of material, pricing, and ship dates, before they are released to production.

•      Work with Sales to correct errors and resolve open questions on tickets so the shop receives clean, buildable orders.

•      Set, manage, and communicate realistic lead times based on shop capacity, material availability, and engineering requirements.

•      Maintain the production schedule and adjust it as orders, priorities, and material arrivals change.

•      Schedule and coordinate Field Service jobs at customer sites, matching technician availability, equipment readiness, and customer requirements.

•      Align Field Service schedules with the production schedule so equipment is complete and ready before field work begins.

•      Confirm job scope, site access, safety requirements, and customer contacts before technicians are dispatched.

•      Serve as the main point of contact between Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Shipping, and Field Service.

•      Notify Sales, technicians, and customers promptly of delays, shortages, or schedule changes, and recommend solutions.

•      Track open orders and Field Service jobs from release through shipment or completion, and report on backlog, on-time delivery, capacity use, and technician scheduling.

•      Support continuous improvement of ticket quality, scheduling accuracy, and lead time performance.

Qualifications and Competencies:

•      High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a technical field preferred.

•      [2 to 5] years of experience in production planning, scheduling, order coordination, field service coordination, or sales support in a manufacturing environment.

•      Experience with electrical equipment such as switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, or control panels preferred.

•      Experience scheduling or dispatching Field Service technicians preferred.

•      Ability to read, interpret, and check electrical drawings, bills of material, and customer specifications.

•      Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.

•      Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple orders and field jobs at once.

•      Clear written and verbal communication with Sales, shop personnel, Field Service technicians, and customers.

•      Ability to work with a safety-first mindset when in the shop, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

•      Ability to work overtime when business needs require.
